V-day and a Hike

I made Ryan a heart-shaped pizza for Valentine's Day. This was the last bit of wheat and gluten that I will have for awhile. I"m doing an elimination diet to see if I am wheat and/or gluten intolerant. I've had some "issues" and this is the easiest way to get an idea if an allergy is the cause. The problem is that gluten is in EVERYTHING! So, once I get more of an idea if it might be this, then I'll go to a doctor or naturopath to confirm or deny it.

We went hiking on Saturday since we actually had a break in the rain that day. We decided to take advantage of it! We went up to Blanchard Mountain and had a nice hike.

Ryan having a snack break. Those are carrot tusks.

Then we came home and took a nap. : )

Snowshoeing

We went snowshoeing for the first time in early January. We went up to Baker Lake, but there wasn't much snow. It was enough though to enjoy the experience.

First Blog

This is my first actual blog. Ryan and I are doing well. It's Saturday morning and we are enjoying listening to a message from Family Life Today after Ryan made breakfast for us. I'll keep this simple today as I don't have lot of news. I'll add more later. Here are some pics from our friends' wedding, Amy & Martin, New Year's Eve. Amy is a good friend from Biola. It was great to see many of our other beloved friends from California there too!! Below those are a few old Christmas pics. I added them since I didn't have a blog then. : P

Me, pooped out by the end of the night. Plus my feet were hurting from boots with heels, which I never wear.

Getting our Christmas tree a few days after Ryan came home from deployment.
