Cherry Blossoms

The University of Washington

It was a rare sunny Sunday last week, so Ryan and I headed to Seattle after church. We went out for lunch and then decided to cruise "The U"--University of Washington--to see the cherry trees in bloom there. There are so many beautiful cherry blossoms in bloom all over Western Washington right now.

By the pictures, you can see that we were not the only ones with the idea to go to UW to enjoy the sunshine on Sunday. I don't think most weekends would look like this, but when Washington sees sun after a long winter, everyone heads out to enjoy it!! The pictures are a little overexposed due to the sun and not sure the best way to work with it on my camera.

You can see Mount Rainier from the campus. Stunning!
Some of the flowers in bloom now.

Ryan and his school. It was almost my alma mater too, but putting off my masters longer or driving about 3 hours a day lead me to do an online degree which I will finish later this month!

I MISS WASHINGTON! I'm so jealous that you are wearing a cute springy top and I'm wearing turtlenecks and wool sweaters in April. I'd settle for at least one layer of polarfleece. Ah well, thanks for showing me why I love the PNW. Looks like we'll be in town around July 18th-ish. Hope we can see you again!
