Friday evening, one of the students in our program from the U.A.E. (United Arab Emirates) threw a big party for everyone as his going home gift. There was tons of Middle Eastern grub, and an imam came and shared some about Islam. I expected the talk to be about the beliefs of Islam, but instead, the imam talked more about the history of Islam. Of course it was just a brief overview. Ryan and I have studied about Islam here and there, so this was nice to get even more information.

Ryan and I enjoying our meal. Afterward, we went to hear some of my students in their choir concert. One student had a solo. We wanted to go and support her since it's hard to be somewhere else and not know anyone in the crowd. It was a fun date out together. : )
